Pink Date~8/24/13

I asked Heidi what she wanted for dinner and she said she wanted to go on a Pink Date with Daddy.
We weren't sure what that meant but decided we should dress in tons of pink and go to dinner.
Daddy was at work so we got dressed and then waited for him.
We went to dinner at the cookout place in town. It was delicious!
Daddy didn't have any pink so Heidi decided we would have an Orange Date next time since we know he has orange.
We had a fun time.

Geo-caching~8/12/13

Heidi was in charge of Family Home Evening and she wanted to go treasure hunting.
Geo-caching.
She loved it.
It did start to rain on us but we still had a great time.

This has become one Heidi's favorite things to do.

San Juan County Fair~8/9-10/13

The Reid's came to visit us this week and we all went to the San Juan County Fair.
It was so much fun!
We just hung out at home for the first couple days that they were there.
Then on Friday and Saturday we went to the fair and rodeo.
Thursday night Kirk and I went to the Phil Vassar concert at the rodeo grounds while Auntie Emily babysat the girls. We are so grateful to her for watching them for us. It was our first date without the girls in a VERY long time.
Friday we spent a little time at the fair and ate lunch. Then we went back that night to go to the rodeo. It was a local rodeo so it was a lot of fun.
Heidi and Evy slept outside that night in the tents with Kirk and Noah. It was such a great time for them.
Saturday we went back to the fair.
They had a children's fair that had crafts and face painting and even a money dig. The girls had such a great time there.
Then that night we had another rodeo. This time it was a kid's rodeo.
The girls were pretty excited anytime they saw the fair and rodeo princesses. These girls were warming up their horses for the rodeo and they gave Heidi and Evy rides on the horses. It was the greatest thing that could have happened to these girls.
The fair was so much fun and it was even more fun to have the Reid's here.

Cute little bug with 2 teeth.

Swingin'~8/4/13

The neighbor kids love our hammock.
And Kirk.

Singin' in the rain~8/3/13

We have had some serious rain fall lately.
It has rained everyday for 3 weeks straight.
We are loving it.
Heidi especially loves it.

Our sweet neighbor, Tessa. Heidi loves her.

 They built a dam.

Looking for monsters~8/1/13

The girls and I went for a walk and Heidi insisted on taking her binoculars and looking for monsters.
When she said she would find one she would tell us how we were supposed to get away from it.
Usually it was run away but sometimes we were supposed to jump over it or tell it to go away.
It was quite funny.
She kept it up most of the day.
She really loves to look through the binoculars.

9 Months!!!~7/25/13

I can't believe it! Alice is 9 months old. She is not allowed to be so big.
This kid is such a joy. Seriously. She is so good natured and happy all the time.
She really only cries when she is hungry or tired and occasionally when her big sister hurts her.
She is such a blessing in our lives.
Here are a few stats: Weight: 17 lbs. Height: 27.5 in.
She has been eating a lot better now. I think she just needed to forget about the hospital and puking and dehydration episode.
She loves to eat frozen peas and her little puff snacks.
She still isn't sleeping through the night and sometimes eats every 2 hours. (Give me strength!)
She still takes 3 naps a day and goes down for naps and bedtime really well.
She is crawling all over the place! She's very fast and keeps us on our toes.
She is pulling herself up on everything and even climbing. She hasn't stood by herself but she'll be doing that and walking any day.
She adores her big sister and loves to follow her around. Thankfully, Heidi loves her too.
She likes story time but really wants to eat the books so we wrestle a little.
She will put EVERYTHING in her mouth. Seriously, everything. It helps to motivate me to keep my floors clean. =)
She is quite the gabber. Always making noises and says Dada and Mama. Not really in reference to us but just as a sound.
She definitely knows who Dada and Heidi are. If you ask her where they are she finds them.
She yells when she isn't getting enough attention.
She loves to click her tongue.
She dances any time she hears music. Always.
She raises both hands in the air when she can get your attention and make you laugh at her. Such a ham.
She doesn't love bath time but she doesn't really hate it either.
She has two teeth.
She claps.
She always wants Mommy's food.
She loves other babies but doesn't know that hitting them isn't the way to show that. =)
She has the most adorable little smile ever.
She loves to eat grass.
This kid is awesome!

These two are the greatest little things ever.

Bear Lake~7/24-28/13

This year at Bear Lake was so fun. Grandma came to pick us up on Wednesday and we drove with them to Bear Lake. Kirk had to work so he didn't join us until Friday.
We had such a great time with the family.
Playing in the park, tons of swimming, sidewalk chalk, boating, glow sticks, Minnetonka cave, playing on the beach and sand, paddle boarding, and lots of milkshakes!
