Halloween~10/31/13

I love Halloween.
Really. I think it's so fun.
And my kids are starting to love it too which is even better.
Heidi had her preschool Halloween program today. Kirk was able to get some time during the day to come and Heidi loved that.
She did a great job. They got to wear their costumes and then all sang some of their songs to us.
Then we had treats. It was short and perfect.
Gavin, Brinley, Ali, Heidi, and Wyatt
There is actually eight kids in her class but the others wanted to be shy and hold their parents.
That afternoon we went to Daddy's work for a carnival.
It was really fun. They had a few games for the kids and treats.
The girls had a great time.
Next up was Trick or treating!
I took the girls with our neighbor, Tessa, on our street. Then it was getting too cold for Alice so I put her to bed and Kirk, Heidi, and Tessa went to a few more houses.
Tessa showed them the secret house that gives out regular sized candy bars. Score.
We started running out of candy by the end so we had to start giving Heidi's away but no biggie.
We had such a great Halloween.

Snow Angels~10/30/13

It snowed.
I like the snow but I don't think I'm prepared for this winter.
The girls had a lot of fun in it though so I guess that makes it better.

They loved it.

Halloween Cookies~10/29/13

Some people decorate sugar cookies for Christmas.
We decorate cookies for Halloween.
It's really a fun family tradition.
Alice was already in bed but she did enjoy the cookies later.
Poor kid. Everything fun seems to happen after she goes night night.
At least she still got a taste.

Her first sugar cookie and she's hooked.

Reading, WRITING, and Arithmetic~10/28/13

Heidi Boo can officially write her name.
She doesn't even need Mom to write it first.
I can't believe it.
And she's not even 3 yet. =)

Halloween carnival and Alice's 1st bday!~10/26/13

I have been planning Alice's party for weeks. I get a little carried away but I love throwing parties.
Her party was the same day as the Halloween carnival that the Elementary school does every year so we went to that first.
That was pretty fun. They had fun games for the babes, a hay ride, costume parade and a pumpkin patch.
The girls had a great time. We were so happy that Evy and Ollie were here for it.

Next was our Alice in ONEderland party.
It turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself.
We had lots of family come. (Grandpa and Gran, Grandpa and Grandma, Grandpa and Grandma Great, the Reids, Bella and some neighbors: the Nebekers, the Goodwines, and the Burtons.)
We even played Alice in Wonderland croquet.
It was so fun.
 The invite

 She hated her smash cake...
...so we gave it to the other kids.

Thanks to everyone who came to help us celebrate this darling little person.
We love this kid.
