Brecken Emery Timmons

Heidi got a brand new cousin on 2/11/11.
Brecken was born at 5:04pm.
He weighed 7 lbs. 15 oz.
When he took his first breath his lung collapsed so he had to be rushed to the NICU and stayed there for about 12 hours. Poor Mommy and Daddy didn't get to hold him but the hole healed up and he was able to go back into the room with them. Mommy and baby are doing great and big brother Camden is so happy.
He is such a cutie!!

Emery Bound

So yesterday we moved to Cleveland, UT for Kirk's last clinical rotation. We'll be here fo six weeks so we are staying with his parents instead of renting our own place. A huge THANK YOU to his parents for letting us raid the house!
The drive was pretty awful.
We packed our little car to its very max and even bought a storage bag to go on top.
Poor Heidi was not happy. She did not want to be in her car seat.
We thought she would do better if I was in the back with her so she could have someone to look at but I think that may have just made her even more mad. She kept looking at me wondering why she kept crying and Mommy didn't pick her up. Poor girl is too social to sit in the car seat by herself.
Mostly, if she was awake she was screaming. We had to stop a few times and let her out of the car seat and tried to drive while she was tired.
My arms got quite the workout rocking the seat and I spent most of the time facing backwards trying to keep her binky in and sing her favorite songs.
Hopefully she will do a little better when I have to drive home with her all by myself for her doctor's appointment in 2 weeks. Fingers crossed.
Kirk's parents are still in Colorado with the new baby (next post) and will be back Monday so we're just taking over the house and hanging out.
Kirk will start work on Monday.
Only 6 weeks and then it will be time for graduation!
I can't believe he is almost done.
Here's to that and to living in the middle of nowhere for 6 weeks. =)

12 Weeks

Heidi is 12 weeks old today.
She giggles some.
She rolls over a little.
She sleeps through the night never.
I can't believe the time has gone by so fast. What happened to my little baby?!
And the sleeping through the night thing I don't really mind. She only wakes up to eat every few hours and since I almost always fall asleep while she is nursing I really can't complain.
And we just love her so much!
Yesterday was Valentine's Day.
I love Valentine's Day.
It really is one of my favorite holidays. Some people hate it and say it's just the card and flower business' way of getting more money but I say Hoorah!
Why not have a day where you buy your sweetie some chocolates and some roses?
It is so much fun and it can't really hurt. (Although one time I had a boy buy me chocolates and we had only been out a couple times. That was weird.)
We woke up on Valentine's Day and Kirk took Heidi for me so I could sleep a little longer. That was probably one of the best gifts I've ever received. That extra 20 minutes was amazing.
That night we went to dinner and went and got dessert.
Kirk also bought me a one pound box of See's Candies.
Awesome.
Thanks for the fabulous Valentine's Day, honey. I'm so glad you're mine.
And so glad you will be m Valentine forever.

Cousin Time

On February 2, 2011 Emily came by with Evy to give me my Pyrex dish with the etching on it and we hung out for awhile with our sweet baby girls.
I love that they can grow up together and hope they will be great friends.

Aren't they the cutest?!

Happy Birthday Me and My Mark

So on January 28, 2011 we celebrated the January and February birthdays. Mark and I have shared our birthdays plenty. We are the only ones in each of our prospective months so we smush them together. We're cool with it.
This year we had the party at Marky's house.
The meal was pizza but I'm the only one who made it homemade.
We made an alfredo sauce, proscuitto, real parmesan cheese, turkey and garlic pizza.
To Die For.
Totally worth all the work.
The store bought ones were good too everyone. =)
Barbie calendar and shoes from Amy and Collin.
 Earrings from my parents.
Carnival glass dish from my parents.
Kirk had this blog published into a book for me. I love it!!
Pyrex dishes with lids from Emily and Noah. I've wanted these for a very long time.
Emily later had Player etched on the bottom. =)
My cute new sign that I wanted from Mark and Melissa.
Melissa made it.
This is the only picture we got of Mark.
We bought this and a Swiss flag for Mark this past summer on our trip to Europe.
We finally got to give them to him. Look how happy he is.
Melissa made snickerdoodle cupcakes. Mmm..delicious.
We had such a great birthday.
On my actual birthday Kirk took me to dinner at P.F.Changs. And that morning he gave me an audiobook of 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families.
Thanks everyone and expecially Kirky for an awesome birthday!
29 has already been a great year.

1/25/11 Just an ordinary day.

On January 25th Heidi and I had a great day.
Here's what we did.
We had a photo shoot.
Mommy's attempt as a photographer.

And then this.
Mommy's attempt as a gourmet chef.

We bought this turkey during Thanksgiving for really cheap but didn't have a chance to try my hand at cooking it until now. This was my first time baking a turkey so I was a little nervous. I asked Kirk to take care of all the inards before he left for work but my experienced hunter forgot. So that disgusting task fell upon my shoulders. So yes, I took out the neck and almost died. Then I had to call my mom to find out where the giblets were located and then reached in a took those out as well. Again, almost died.
Dramatic much?
It really was disgusting people. It took all my strength to keep from throwing up. And yes, I wore gloves.
Finally I got the dang bird into the oven.
Let me tell you, he was golden and delicious.
I surprised myself although cooking a turkey really isn't too difficult.
We ate this fine feathered friend for days.
1/25/11
An ordinary day with attempts at being extraordinary.

More 1/23/11

 This little girl...

...has discovered her hands to suck on.

So what's up?
