4 month well check~3/8/13

I took Alice to the doctor on Friday for her 4 month check.
She's healthy as a horse.
She weighs 15 lbs. 1 oz. and is 25 inches long.
That puts her in the 70th percentile and 60th percentile.
Her head was 41.5 cm which is about 50%.
We grow them healthy.
She screamed like crazy when they gave her shots. I felt so sad for her.
And the nurse wouldn't let me hold her while she did the shots. I HATE that!
Next time I don't think I'll stand for that.

Potty Training Days 6 & 7~3/9&10/13

These days have been great, again!
All dry, all day.
Sunday was her first day going to nursery with underroos and she still did fantastic.
Nap time on Sunday was her only time waking up wet since day 2. I think we left her in her bed too long after she woke up since she didn't let us know she was awake.
But she is still doing such an amazing job.
We are so proud of our potty trained babe!

Potty Training Day 5~3/8/13

Today was another awesome day.
We even drove to St. George and were in the car all day and she still didn't have any accidents.
We stopped once on the way down there at a gas station and sat on the by the side of the car. It was kind of funny.
I had to take Alice to the doctor for her 4 month check up so I left Heidi with Gran and Aunties Amy and Emily and their kids. Amy asked her if she needed to go potty. She said yes. So Amy told her they would find a potty in a minute so not to go in her panties. Heidi replied with "Don't go potty in my pantalones?" So awesome. We call them underroos and call her pants pantalones sometimes so that's where her confusion came from I think.
On the way home from St. George she wanted some milk and hadn't gone potty for a little while so I was a little nervous for the ride. Plus she fell asleep but she didn't have any accidents then either. I think we have been pretty dang lucky with this whole experience.
She woke up in the morning dry again.

Potty Training Day 4~3/7/13

No accidents today!!
Heidi did awesome today and told me every time she had to go potty.
We even went to the park for awhile and she didn't have an accident there either.
Woke up dry from her nap.
And woke up dry in the morning.
Awesome!

Potty Training Day 3~3/6/13

Day 3 has been great.
We only had 1 accident all day!!!
I really held back on asking her if she needed to go potty and let her take charge. She did so awesome telling me when she needed to go.
When Daddy was putting Alice down for bed Heidi even went potty all on her own. She struggled a little getting her underroos down but we can deal with that if it means she is aware enough to do it on her own. We woke her up again before we went to bed. She also woke up at midnight because she isn't feeling very well and I took her potty again. She woke up dry again this morning.
We were thinking we might put her in pull-ups at night but after so much success without them I think we might just keep doing what we're doing.
She didn't go poopy all day which worried me but no accident.
We are so stinkin' proud of her!

Potty Training Day2~3/5/13

Day 2 of potty training went pretty great. We had a couple accidents but mostly success. I think we had 3 accidents and triple that in success. One of the accidents was poopy which was no fun for mom and one was just neglect from us so Heidi can't really be blamed for that one. She woke up from her nap dry again so that was great. I set the timer for 15 minutes an we sat on the potty every time the timer went off. She got a little bored of that but I think it helped. She didn't always tell me when she needed to go potty but we were lucky enough to catch it.
Last night we didn't give her a bottle at all before bed. We did still give her the water bottle which I guess negates the no bottle but what can you do? She went potty right before bed but I was still a nervous about her wetting the bed because she had her water. When we went to check on her before we went to bed she kind of woke up so I thought we should take her potty then. She totally went and then woke up this morning dry!!
She's doing such a good job at potty training so far. She's getting lots of potty treats but I'm okay with that. =)

Potty time~3/4/13

Today we officially started potty training for Heidi. She has been using the potty since she was about 18 months old but it has been very inconsistent. We decided to let her pick her very own potty chair and underroos thinking that might help. She picked a Princess potty and Minnie Mouse underroos.
Day 1 has been interesting. Right when we opened the potty she couldn't sit on it enough. She seriously was so excited for it. And we had a couple potty successes.
She went down for her nap for the first time in underroos and woke up dry. Then that afternoon we had all accidents. Luckily all of them were on the kitchen floor so they were super easy to clean up and they were only pee.
I have just kept her in underroos all day with no pants so she really feels it when she has an accident.
Then last night we didn't give her milk right before bed like we usually do hoping that would help.
She called for us once and said she had to go potty so off we went. This time it was a poopy! We were so proud that she told us and incredibly happy that didn't happen in bed.
Then at about midnight she woke up crying and I found her soaked in her bed. I put her on the potty again and she went. Then I changed her and the sheets and then she woke up the next morning dry.
I have to keep reminding myself that this will take time. I just want her to already by potty trained but I know that isn't how this happens.
Here's to more successes.
