Pot baby~12/9/13

Alice also really likes to get inside stuff and sit down. It really is one of her favorite things to do.
At least it keeps her busy while I'm making dinner.

Heidi wanted to get in on the fun.

Climb Every Mountain~12/6/13

Alice is really into climbing now.
She really wants to drive mom crazy with worry.

Christmas tree hunting~12/3/13

One of the best things about living in Monticello is having our mountain so close. It definitely made Christmas tree hunting easier and more fun.
We borrowed some snow shoes from Kirk's parents and used those to get our tree. Kirk puled the girls in a sled. It was so fun!
After we found our perfect tree I got in the sled with the girls and held onto the tree while it dragged behind us. It was a little iffy on the way back but we made it. Good thing Daddy is so strong to pull all of us. Alice didn't enjoy the ride very much but she did okay.
It was so fun!

Thanksgiving~11/28/13-12/1/13

This year for Thanksgiving we were at Kirk's parent's house.
We also decided to do Christmas that same time since it was the only time we would all be together.
It was such a great few days. We got there on Wednesday night since Kirk had to work that day.
The girls were so excited to see their cousins. They seriously love their cousins.
Thursday was spent cooking, or watching Trevor cook, and just lounging around. It was a fun relaxing day. After our amazingly delicious dinner we had Christmas.
We were spoiled yet again and are so grateful for the gifts. The Robinsons had us this year and we loved the presents. We had the Timmons'. We bought Trevor 2 huge bags of Dove Creek beans since it is the pinto bean capitol of the world. For Shannon, Kirk widdled some crochet hooks. They turned out so awesome. He really should keep working with wood cause he did a great job on them.
Friday we headed to Heber to help redo Grandma Great's porch. It was too cold to actually stain it but they worked all day and got it sanded really well so it will be ready to stain in the Spring.
We also did a little Black Friday shopping that day.
I got Kirk a gun safe. I seriously hate that he was there when I bought it and ruined the surprise but oh well. He is a happy guy. All the stores we went to weren't packed at all. They weren't even busy, really. We didn't find everything we wanted but no worries.
We went back to Cleveland that night and the Timmons' headed back to Colorado.
Saturday Kirk, me, Jeremy, and Dayna all went to see 'Catching Fire'. It was so good!! I'm glad we thought to go since Kirk and I would have had to wait a long time to see it otherwise.
The rest of the weekend was spent just hanging out and letting the girls play with their cousins.
It was such a great holiday, as usual.
This is the motorcycle that Heidi got from Grandma and Grandpa. Probably one of the toys she has used the most. She loves it.

These are the only pictures we have of the entire week so...whoops. =)

Happy birthday, Heidi!!~11/23/13

Happy birthday to our Gorgeous Heidi Boo!
I refuse to believe that this amazing little person is already three years old.
I did not realize how bittersweet it would be to watch my little people grow up.
We had a major snow storm on Heidi's birthday so she was in heaven. Seriously, she could have stayed outside all day especially since there were lots of kids out.
We didn't make a big deal of her birthday party. We've decided not to throw a big party for every birthday. We'd definitely go broke if we did since I go a little overboard on parties.
We told all the family about the party but knew not many would be able to come.
Grandma and Grandpa came which made Heidi VERY happy and Tessa was there for part of the time too.
She wanted a Mickey Mouse party which made things a little easier since we had a Minnie party for her last year and still had some of the same stuff.
She also requested pretzels for dinner.
When she woke up in the morning she opened the door to her room to an avalanche of balloons. We also decorated the family room with balloons and streamers while she was asleep so that was a surprise as well. She played in the snow most of the morning and then we had pretzels for her lunch with cheese sauce. I made her a Mickey cake and was very happy with how it turned out. She got some fun presents and had an AWESOME day.
This child makes our family so happy. We just love her so big and really are excited to see how she grows up.
Happy Birthday Heidi Boo!

Here are a few stats about the babe...
At her 3 year old check-up she weighed 35 lbs. and was 38.5 inches tall.
She still loves reading.
She wants to be a doctor when she grows up.
She can write her name. She counts like a champ.
She is started to recognize lots of letters.
She seriously loves preschool and dance.
Her favorite color is pink. She loves to dance for everyone and will make us all sit down and watch.
She likes to run with Mom. I mean actually run. She doesn't want to ride in the stroller.
She loves to play Candyland.
Her favorite babysitter is Tessa Goodwine.
She goes to bed and naps really well still. She has started sleeping in until about 7am which is seriously awesome.
She still eats just about anything.
She is so active and awesome. Loves her friends and family and is such a great big sister.
