Last Day of Birthday Celebration

This is the last birthday celebration post, I promise! Since my family has grown in numbers from 11 to 35 we pretty much cover the calendar in birthdays. Instead of celebrating each birthday separately (and so saving Dad's saturdays) we now have a family birthday party each month. Some months have 5-6 birthdays but there a few months that we lucky few get all to ourselves. I'm the only birthday in January and Mark is the only one in February. I love to have my birthday all by myself but I think the rest of the fam was sick of it. =) So this year Mark and I shared our birthday party. Our actual birthdates are fairly close so it wasn't too hard of a transition. This year we had it at Amy and Collin's place.
We love our birthdays!

I am so excited about this cookware set. I absolutely despise non-stick cookware with teflon crap-o-la and so I told my mom that I really wanted a nice set. Ta Da! I can't wait to get in that kitchen.

A couple weeks ago Amy text Kirk asking how to spell 'Love At Home' in German. I never caught on. Cute huh?!

This will be super helpful in my goal achieving quest. (see previous post)
Christina made me the cutest bracelets.

The Team Jacob sweethearts are for Kirk. =)
Melissa made us the most delicious cupcakes ever for our birthday cake. This next photo is a Bailey family tradition. No we don't stab each other in the head on our birthdays (although Mom did stab me once right through the cardboard the cake was on). Nobody is really sure exactly where the tradition came from but nonetheless, the ritual is performed every birthday. It is quite the experience so feel lucky if you're ever present to witness in person. =)
Du-du-dudu-du-Du-Du

After the party was done and all the presents were opened and enjoyed, the family was sitting around relaxing and enjoying each other's company. The children were running amuck outside and it was a great time. All of a sudden the front door swings open to a sopping wet little person.

Yi-Ya apparently took a dive into the fish pond but quickly regained her footing as she tragically learned a hard lesson. Don't get too close to the water. I hate to find humor in her heartache but look at that priceless expression. She'll enjoy this one day. =)
