A Welcome Home~8/9-14/15

The kids and I left for Logandale after church on Sunday for the week.
I hate to leave Kirk the day after we moved but Luke is coming home from his mission this week and we really want to be at the airport. Kirk wasn't able to take the time off of work so Heath and Molly drove all night Saturday night and some Sunday morning to pick us up then drove the whole way back on Sunday after church. Molly needed the hours so she could get her driver's license. It was a really long drive for them and we are really grateful that they made that sacrifice so we could see Luke come home at the airport.
The kids were in Heaven with their cousins as they always are whenever we go to Logandale. It makes me realize how important family is and makes me wish we lived so much closer.
The motion lights kept going on in the yard while Kirk was trying to sleep. This is why.

We were all waiting at the bottom of the stairs for Luke thinking he would be in a crowd of people. Then out of nowhere this kid comes RUNNING down the stairs. It shocked us all so much. There wasn't another person coming down so we really didn't expect him. Melinda was mid sentence in a conversation with me when it registered that it was him. It was amazing to see and to have him back.
That night we all went to Mark's for a little get together so everyone would have a chance to chat with Luke.
The school bus came to pick up Heidi by mistake. Kirk said it just waited there for a few minutes and then left.
A little morning climb in Grandpa's treehouse. Grandpa is seriously the best. And yes, both girls can climb this treehouse by themselves which I was unaware of until I came out to take this picture.
